Appliance Techline Terms of Service

Version 1.2 — Effective Date: August 8, 2026
Operating Entity: CService Appliance Repair, Inc., a California corporation
Business Address: 12051 World Trade Dr, Unit 1, San Diego, CA 92128
Legal / Support / Privacy Requests: info@csdcca.com

These Terms govern professional use of Appliance Techline. Please read them together with the incorporated policies that apply to your account and transactions.

1. Agreement and Incorporated Policies

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") are a binding agreement between CService Appliance Repair, Inc. and each person or organization using Appliance Techline. The Technician Agreement, Wallet and Billing Terms, Company Account Agreement, Privacy Policy, Safety and Acceptable Use Policy, and Refund and Service Credit Policy are incorporated when applicable. If a specific policy conflicts with these Terms on the same subject, the more specific policy controls for that subject unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

By creating an account, accepting these Terms electronically, submitting or accepting a Support Case, funding or using a Wallet, using a Company Account, or otherwise using the Service after the Terms are presented, you agree to them. If you act for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it for the actions you take.

2. Definitions

"Technician" means a trained or professional appliance-repair person who uses the Service. "Expert" means an individual authorized by the Company to provide remote technical consultation. "Support Case" means a request for technical consultation. "Company Account" means an account for an appliance-repair business with one or more roster users. "Company Owner" and "Company Manager" are Company Account roles. "Wallet" means the Service's internal monetary balance record; a Personal Wallet belongs to an individual account and a Company Wallet belongs to a Company Account. "Service Credit" means a non-cash promotional or remedial credit.

3. Professional-Only Eligibility

Appliance Techline is intended only for trained or professional appliance-repair technicians and repair businesses, not homeowners, consumers seeking do-it-yourself repair instructions, children, or untrained helpers. A User must be at least 18, have legal capacity to contract, and have the professional competence and legal authority required for the work the User undertakes.

At launch, the Service is available in all 50 United States and the District of Columbia, subject to applicable federal, state, and local law. U.S. territories are not included.

4. Accounts and Security

Users must provide accurate account information, protect credentials, use mandatory TOTP multi-factor authentication, and promptly report suspected compromise. Accounts are personal to the authorized user and may not be shared, sold, or used to impersonate another person. The Company may require re-authentication, credential reset, or temporary restriction when reasonably necessary for security.

5. Company Accounts

A Company Account may include a Company Owner, Company Managers, and Technicians. The Owner controls ownership transfer, full Company Account closure, and appointment or removal of Managers. A Manager may perform most operational and financial administration, including inviting or removing Technicians, managing budgets, funding and ordinary Wallet activity, reviewing Company-scoped cases, and exporting authorized Company reports. Super Admin is a separate Appliance Techline platform role, not a Company Account role.

Company-scoped case history belongs to the Company Account for access purposes. Owner and Manager may view the full work content of Company-scoped cases, including case data, uploads, consultation history, billable time, Expert notes designated for Company visibility, complaints, incidents, ratings, and review outcomes, while unnecessary sensitive personal information, payment credentials, identity documents, Personal Wallet data, and unrelated private data are not Company-visible. A Technician who leaves a Company Account receives only read-only access to that Technician's former Company cases for 90 days and may not export the corporate case archive, reopen those cases, add content, or request follow-up service. The Company retains access while the records remain retained under the Privacy Policy.

6. Nature of the Service

The Service sells remote professional consultation time and access to qualified Experts, not a guaranteed diagnosis, repair, safety certification, code approval, manufacturer authorization, or outcome. Experts may provide observations, possibilities, diagnostic approaches, document-based guidance, and second opinions based on the information available remotely.

7. Support Cases and Expert Routing

Eligible waiting cases are routed by verified Expert skill and language requirements using an oldest-eligible-case priority. Experts may not freely cherry-pick easier cases. If an Expert discovers that a different verified skill or support category is required, the case may be reclassified and returned to the eligible queue while retaining its original creation timestamp. Follow-up work on an assigned case ordinarily returns to the same Expert unless the case is requeued for a skill mismatch or another operational necessity.

8. Advisory Character and No Outcome Guarantee

Expert support is advisory. No statement by an Expert is a binding instruction or guarantee. Remote consultation cannot reveal every worksite condition, hidden defect, prior repair, wiring change, contamination, environmental condition, customer fact, or other circumstance that may affect diagnosis or safety.

9. Technician Judgment and Responsibility

The onsite Technician retains final professional judgment and responsibility for deciding what tests, disassembly, repair, replacement, reassembly, energization, evacuation, charging, adjustment, or other work to perform. The Technician is responsible for required qualifications, licenses, certifications, supervision, insurance, PPE, tools, worksite control, and compliance with law and manufacturer requirements.

10. Information Supplied by Users

Users must provide materially complete and accurate case information and promptly correct errors. Experts and the Company may rely on information supplied by the Technician. Incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or misleading information may cause incomplete or inaccurate support and may affect billing, safety, or case routing.

11. Calls, Live Video and Communications

Voice consultation may use RC and one-way live video may use LiveKit. Connection metadata and call-detail records may be processed for routing, billing, security, troubleshooting, and dispute evidence. The Company's authoritative billable-time record is the Appliance Techline server timer; third-party call records may corroborate but do not independently determine billing.

12. Recording, Screenshots and Future Transcription

The Company does not record platform voice calls or live video at this time. Users may not secretly record, screenshot, stream, rebroadcast, or permit unauthorized monitoring of a consultation. Any future recording, transcription, or AI-summary feature will require separate notice and any consent required by applicable law before activation.

13. Safety and Stop-Work Rules

The Safety and Acceptable Use Policy applies to every consultation. An Expert may pause, decline a specific unsafe or out-of-scope act, request more information, recommend de-energizing or stopping work, or return a case to the queue. A Technician's refusal of a safety recommendation does not automatically end the consultation; the Expert should remain engaged and attempt to restore a safe professional path unless a serious safety, fraud, abuse, threat, or operational reason supports termination.

14. High-Risk Work and Credentials

High-risk support may include energized electrical testing, microwave high voltage, gas and combustion systems, refrigerants and sealed systems, flammable refrigerants, commercial appliances, commercial refrigeration, laboratory or critical cooling, and PCB diagnostics. An Expert may advise only within active internal skill eligibility. An Expert providing sealed-system/refrigerant support must have active EPA Section 608 certification verified by Appliance Techline and the corresponding internal skill. The Technician remains responsible for the Technician's own EPA certification and other legally required credentials.

15. Plans, Minutes and Minimum Charges

Each support category has a stated minimum charge and included time. Once Expert work begins, the applicable minimum category charge applies even if the matter is resolved quickly. Billable time begins when the Expert accepts the case through Take Next Case and includes active case review, documentation research, dialing or ringing, consultation, and live-video setup or use. Billable time stops when the case is placed in Waiting for Follow-Up Call, requeued, or completed. Time is rounded up to the next full minute.

16. Additional Minutes and Adjustments

Additional paid minutes require the Technician's express approval and a successful Wallet debit or payment before work continues beyond the paid block. If additional paid time is declined, the Expert may stop work and complete the case; declining more time does not create a refund right. An Expert may reclassify a case within the Expert's verified skills and request the applicable additional charge. If the required skill is outside that Expert's eligibility, the case is requeued.

17. Wallets and Company Budgets

Available Personal or Company Wallet balance is the preferred payment source when the account and applicable Company budget authorize its use. Stripe checkout remains available as a fallback when Wallet funds are unavailable or a personal payment is chosen. Company budgets limit a Technician's use of Company Wallet funds; a Technician may not bypass an exhausted or zero budget merely because the Company Wallet has funds. An authorized Company Owner or Manager may change a Technician budget. A Technician may instead pay personally from a Personal Wallet or personal Stripe payment method.

18. Refunds, Cancellations and Service Credits

Refunds and Service Credits are governed by the Refund and Service Credit Policy. A full refund applies when a case is canceled before Expert work begins, when no suitable Expert can be provided and the payer elects a refund, when a confirmed Company/RC/LiveKit technical failure makes the consultation unusable, or for a confirmed duplicate payment. Dissatisfaction, an unsuccessful repair, lack of a final diagnosis, Technician-side connectivity, a missed call, or a safety/conduct termination does not create an automatic refund; those matters are handled under the published policy. Only the payer may request return of the payer's money.

19. Payment Disputes, Fraud and Recovery

Chargebacks and suspected unauthorized payments are investigated using case, billing, account, and provider records. A chargeback does not itself create an additional refund. Duplicate recovery is prohibited. A spent-Wallet funding reversal or other confirmed amount owed may create a negative balance; new paid cases may be blocked until the negative balance is resolved, and later top-ups may first satisfy that balance to the extent permitted by law.

20. Verification and Expert Skill Indicators

Internal skill flags and qualification reviews are routing tools, not public certifications or guarantees. Experts are internally qualified before case access and are rechecked at least every 12 months, with additional review after a serious complaint, safety incident, or reasonable qualification concern. Verification badges or document checks do not guarantee identity, competence, insurance, authenticity, or outcome.

21. User Content and Case Materials

21.1 You retain ownership of photos, videos, measurements, diagrams, messages, and documents you submit, subject to the limited license in this section.

21.2 You grant the Company a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, format, transmit, display to authorized participants, and use the content as reasonably necessary to provide support, perform quality and safety review, resolve disputes, investigate incidents, comply with law, and maintain required records.

21.3 Marketing or publicity use of your name, image, company, case details, or testimonial requires separate express permission.

21.4 You represent that you have authority to submit the content and that it does not violate privacy, confidentiality, trade-secret, copyright, or other rights.

21.5 The Company may preserve content during an active dispute, incident, investigation, legal hold, or required retention period.

22. Technical Materials and Third-Party Rights

22.1 You must not upload, copy, or distribute manufacturer service manuals, wiring diagrams, subscription-portal materials, customer documents, or other protected material unless you have lawful authority to do so.

22.2 Part numbers, model identifiers, measurements, and technical facts may be used only in a lawful manner and may remain subject to source-contract restrictions.

22.3 The Company does not currently provide a manufacturer document library or archive.

22.4 Any future retrieval, caching, display, or redistribution of third-party technical materials requires copyright, contract, confidentiality, and vendor review.

22.5 The Company may remove or restrict content and preserve evidence when a rights complaint is received.

23. Confidentiality and Trade Secrets

23.1 Users must protect case materials, customer information, Expert contact details, internal documentation, pricing, security information, and other nonpublic information obtained through the Service.

23.2 Experts and Company personnel are subject to separate confidentiality and access obligations.

Clauses 23.3–23.4 (operational use and anonymized know-how) remain provisional confidentiality recommendations.

23.3 Reasonable operational use, such as explaining a recommendation to a customer while performing a repair, may be permitted. Public posting, misrepresentation, or unnecessary disclosure is prohibited.

23.4 The Company may use genuinely anonymized general professional know-how for support quality and training without disclosing identifiable or confidential case details.

23.5 Trade-secret obligations survive while the information remains legally protected; other survival periods require final counsel review.

24. Prohibited Conduct and Non-Circumvention

Users may not harass, threaten, discriminate, defraud, manipulate evidence, share accounts, bypass access controls, interfere with routing, evade fees, request or make undisclosed side payments connected to a case, or move Service work off-platform to avoid records, billing, supervision, or safety controls.

25. Third-Party Services and Integrations

The Service depends on third-party infrastructure and providers, including payment, telephony, video, hosting, database, authentication, email, and AI services. Third-party terms and availability may affect features. The Company is not responsible for a third-party provider's independent acts except to the extent applicable law imposes responsibility on the Company. Provider-caused consultation failures are handled under the Refund Policy.

26. Privacy and Cross-Product Identity

Central Identity may be shared across CService-operated products for account, role, profile, company membership, and verification functions. Appliance Techline case content, Wallet activity, and support spending are not automatically shared with TechVentory merely because the products use Central Identity. The Privacy Policy explains categories, purposes, disclosures, retention, and privacy rights.

27. Intellectual Property of the Service

27.1 The Service, software, brand, design, databases, workflows, training materials, and Company content are owned by or licensed to the Company.

27.2 You receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the Service for its intended professional purpose while your account remains authorized.

27.3 You may not copy, scrape, bulk extract, reverse engineer, create a competing database, remove notices, or use Company materials to build or market a competing service except as permitted by non-waivable law or written authorization.

27.4 Feedback may be used by the Company without compensation or obligation, subject to confidentiality and applicable law.

27.5 The chain of title for code, brand, and contributor work must be verified before this section is treated as final.

28. Service Changes, Availability and Suspension

28.1 We may modify, replace, suspend, limit, or discontinue plans, integrations, features, category availability, Expert routing, or geographic access prospectively. (Owner-confirmed 2026-07-31, subject to notice, paid-case obligations, and applicable law.)

28.2 We may take immediate action for security, fraud, payment, legal, provider, safety, or operational reasons.

28.3 Material changes affecting paid service, active cases, Wallet balances, or legal rights will receive reasonable notice where practicable.

28.4 Service interruptions may be addressed under the Refund and Service Credit Policy but do not create a guaranteed uptime commitment unless separately agreed.

28.5 We may preserve access to essential account, billing, and legal records after a feature or account is suspended.

29. Enforcement and Appeals

Clauses 29.1 and 29.3–29.4 (enforcement tools, targeted restrictions, notice, and appeals) remain provisional and depend on the unbuilt enforcement workflow.

29.1 We may issue warnings, targeted restrictions, suspensions, bans, Wallet holds, category restrictions, case cancellation, Expert removal, or other proportionate action.

29.2 Immediate action may be taken for fraud, unsafe conduct, false qualifications, harassment, account sharing, payment abuse, direct off-platform payment, direct threats, or other serious risk.

29.3 Targeted restrictions are preferred over full suspension when proportionate and technically available.

29.4 Where practical, we will provide notice, reasons, evidence categories, duration, and an opportunity to appeal.

29.5 No complete tiered enforcement, granular restriction, formal notice, appeal, or ban-evasion workflow currently exists.

29.6 Active cases, unused minutes, Wallets, and Company Accounts after suspension will be handled under the final enforcement and refund procedures.

30. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided on an as-available basis for professional consultation. The Company disclaims implied warranties that may lawfully be disclaimed, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, and a particular technical result. This does not limit any non-waivable warranty or statutory right.

31. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost business, lost data, loss of use, or loss of customer property arising from use of the Service, except where such a limitation is prohibited by law.

For claims that may lawfully be limited, the Company's aggregate liability arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees paid to Appliance Techline by the claimant during the six months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim or (b) $500. Nothing in this document excludes or limits liability, rights, remedies, duties, or protections that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Any disclaimer, release, limitation, indemnity, or allocation of responsibility applies only to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, including California Civil Code section 1668.

32. Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, a User will defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Company and its personnel from third-party claims arising from the User's unlawful conduct, material breach, onsite repair acts, property damage caused by the User, misuse of credentials, or content the User lacked authority to submit. Indemnity does not require a User to indemnify the Company for the Company's own fraud, willful injury, unlawful conduct, or other responsibility that cannot lawfully be shifted.

33. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

California law governs to the extent permitted by law, without displacing mandatory law that applies to a User or transaction. Before filing an ordinary claim against the Company, the claimant must provide written notice describing the dispute and allow 30 days for informal resolution. Except for a matter that may lawfully be filed in small claims court or must be heard in another mandatory forum, the parties consent to the state and federal courts located in San Diego County, California. These terms do not require pre-dispute arbitration or a blanket advance waiver of a civil jury.

34. Legal Notices

Formal legal notices to the Company must be sent to info@csdcca.com and, when a physical notice is required, to 12051 World Trade Dr, Unit 1, San Diego, CA 92128. Ordinary support questions should be sent to info@csdcca.com.

35. Changes to These Terms

The Company may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes will be presented through reasonable notice and, when legally or operationally appropriate, renewed electronic acceptance. Changes do not retroactively alter completed transactions unless the parties expressly agree or law requires it.

36. General Provisions

These Terms and incorporated policies are the entire public agreement concerning the Service except a separately signed agreement that expressly controls a specific subject. If a provision is unenforceable, it will be modified or severed only to the minimum extent necessary and the remainder will remain effective. Failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. Electronic records and signatures may be used to the extent permitted by law.
